Just been watching Man City V Blackburn, and I am left feeling eternally grateful to poor old Watford that we are not to be made sacrificial lambs to the absolute slaughter. I dread to think what a team that put 6 past Arsenal would do to our fragile team. Poor Watford ! I do hope you recover in time for it to not ruin your season
Got to be honest, I thought the same. Man City have scored 99 goals this season. Aguero has got 20 and he's not their top scorer!. Even Yaya Toure who has 13 is only 4th! We are starting to show signs of a recovery and who knows what it might have done for our confidence if we had been on the wrong end of a hiding.
Yes, sometimes caution is the best approach. Even though we lost to Watford, we did give them a game and much of what we did will have helped our confidence levels. A nasty mauling at Man City really is something we can do without. Visions of a double figure defeat could be the undoing of any hope we have of staying in League One. We've had four cup ties, so now on with the nitty gritty!
Man City certainly have the best strike force in the premier division, if Arsenal or Chelsea want to win this league they need more lethal strikers, so if we had played any of the big guns certainly Man City would of hit us for a cricket score!
As I said a week or so ago, we're better off out of it. Conceding a dozen or more goals at the Etihad, which is not beyond the bounds of possibility, would affect the team morale just when we're on a bit of a run.
Hopefully they hit a cricket score this weekend. Don't think I can put up with the smug gits in Cardiff again after they beat them earlier this season.
They are beatable..... not by us. We would do well to only lose 9-0 Would of been a nice day out though.
I have Negredo in my Fantasy Football team, so I'm happy (FA Cup games count in the Telegraph version) If we went there it could have been 10 - would still have been a great day out though
The day would have been superb, but gotta agree, the score probably not so good!!! Aguero being back in that form is good news for my fantasy league side though!
It's a shame really. I reckon we would have been the perfect warm-up before they take on the only-slightly-better Barcelona.
I would of love to gone there, but you could of guaranteed ITV would if put it on TV as a David v Goliath game and reduced the Manc crowd. Best game I've ever gone to was Liverpool especially when they said walking from the ground we out sang the Kop. None of us expected to win that one, expecting a good hammering but we done it.
