A few tweets on twitter that we are interested in PSv's Otman Bakkal as the man to take the Sigurdsson role. I've never heard of this guy to be honest. Might all be speculation again though. Apparently Liverpool have had a â¬15 million bid for Borini accepted.....
Over the next few weeks now that Laudrup is officially our new boss,we will be linked to every player in Europe espescially Italy Spain Holland and Denmark. So i'm going to get a front seat and watch the parade...
If we have the chance to sign Luc Castaignos we should pay the money. Potential World Class, will probably go to a much bigger club....but if he fancies starting every week and learning off Michael Laudrup He joined Inter Milan from Feyenoord for €3 million and only managed 6 substitute appearances. He also endured 3 managers in 1 season. Is Holland u-17's all time leading goal scorer, scored 15 in 31 in his first season for Feyenoord and has been hailed as the next Thierry Henry. Here's hoping.
If that offer for Borini is true then Parma made 15m EUR without paying a dime. They loaned him to Roma who probably paid all his wages and unless they paid a signing on fee to him then they've paid next to nothing. Good business for them. Really irritating though.
I wish I could pronounce all these names we are now associated with lol If Borini has gone to Liverpool thats a good signing but maybe a bit pricey at 15M euros (£12M)
Borini was never going to come our way , this asking price only proves it . One thing we will miss out on with Rodgers departure , his eye for & connections to , land these type loans . The man was a genius !! . Laudrup has big shoes to fill in this department
"Laudrup has been linked with a host of players already, with free-scoring Copenhagen frontman Dame N'Doye the latest name to emerge" Wow can you imagine?!!!!!!! From WIKI In January 2009, Dame N'Doye joined Danish Superliga club F.C. Copenhagen.[2] He was presented as a new player for the Danish club on January 12. He scored his first goal on March 7, 2009 against Randers FC, as F.C. Copenhagen won 3–0. Dame N'Doye soon cemented his place in the F.C. Copenhagen starting eleven in the 2009–10 Danish Superliga. N'Doye finished a first full season with 14 goals. N'Doye's 14 goals helped F.C Copenhagen retain the Danish Superliga title, meaning that Copenhagen would start in the Third qualifying round of the 2010-11 UEFA Champions League. On 4 August 2010, N'Doye scored the winning goal in the 59th minute against Belarusian side BATE to ensure F.C. Copenhagen qualified for the Champions League Play-off round. On the opening matchday of the 2010-11 UEFA Champions League N'Doye scored the only goal in a 1-0 win over Russian Champions, Rubin Kazan. The goal was a header in the 87th minute. Dame N'Doye was again on the goalscorers sheet in the next round, scoring F.C. Copenhagens first goal against his former club, the Greek champions, Panathinaikos F.C. in a 2-0 away victory. N'Doye's two goals in 2010–11 UEFA Champions League helped F.C. Copenhagen qualify for the Round of 16, an achievement that no other Danish team has ever done before. N'Doye won the top scorer-prize of the 2010–11 Danish Superliga with 25 goals. After many rumours about a transfer to another club, he stayed in FC Copenhagen and scored in the first round of the 2011–12 Danish Superliga against SønderjyskE in a 2–0 away win. N'Doye once again won the top scorer-prize of the 2011–12 Danish Superliga with a total of 18 goals.
Great to see us linked with so many good players. Did a quick check on Luc C who is leaving Inter Milan. The guy is young 6ft 2" and is a goal scorer. As Terror said, many regard him as the next Thierry Henry but look at the clubs who were sniffing around before he went to Italy - Arsenal, Manchester United and Liverpool in the UK whilst his admirers abroad included Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and........ Hoffenheim!! Of course, most of these "links" are just rumour and will come to nothing. But it is interesting to see who will come to us and I can't wait to see who we will eventually sign. Good to see that ML is going to have a talk with Siggy but I'm beginning to feel that there are a lot of "Siggys" out there who can do an equally good job for us - and they might have a bit more pace as well!! It seems that ML likes pace in the team and, being honest, that is one thing that Siggy does lack, although it is not quite so critical in the role he plays for us.
I'm excited to hear who laudrup is after and not any tom dick or harry on twitter as how would they know who he wants, he has only been unveiled as the manager today and he admits he had to do a lot of research to find out where swansea was........He dont know our players yet or what they can do so the chances he knows what type of player or in what position he wants is nil.......Lets wait until laudrup himself says who he is targeting and not joe blogs who knows nothing......
I'd say Luc Castaignos is out of your league financially. He still has a year on contract with Juve and the club only wants him to loaned out within the Serie A. Castaignos already has said he doesn't want that and he wants to be on the transfer list in which Juventus met that demand but only if the new club buys off the contract. Which is at least a couple of million. Otman Bakkal however could be a better target, he is old though, 27. Had a great season with Feyenoord and was a key player in the team behind Manchester City striker and hot prospect, John Guidetti. Bakkal is an AM with good passing and shot power. Tactical insight is ok but his consistancy is off. Can play a magnificent game, the next week he could be utter shaite. He is more the silent type of player. Won't make big actions or give brilliant passes, but does his work and gets on with it. Good stamina and endurance but his defensive skills are poor. His main strenght is his flexibility, can play on any position in midfield and is a good right winger if needed. Can throw in a good cross or corner kick into the box.
Borini to Liverpool for £9.5 million according to Daily Star http://www.dailystar.co.uk/football/view/257970/Liverpool-eye-9-5m-Fabio-Borini/
