Looks like there will be plenty of city support at Northampton.

    http://www.otib.co.uk/index.php?/topic/156244-coventry-fans-boycott/

    This is an interesting twist.

I fully support the Coventry fans with this and our Supporters Club & Trust have written to the Football league to protest.

Along with others, I am planning to boycott the game, even though it is one of my closest away games. The same goes for MK Dons, all as a matter of principle.

Displaying banners in the away end could be a strong message and I am sure most City fans would be OK with showing that support for fans of a rival team.

Could be "interesting" if city fans did take sisu out banners along and their stewards reacted the same to city fans as to their own fans.

Is there any cov fans that could say, meet city fans in the car park to hand over banners etc?

Only sections of support will go. The element you get in the EE are not and they have cancelled their coaches along with the BS4 coach. Once that happens and word gets around others follow. Support who attend will be untypical of a normal first away.

It is only a small away end. Some will go regardless nothing to do with loyal.

What is being said is though amongst sections of fans BS3 - 4 private coaches - Eastend will be staying away. The result of that is hundreds of the more vocal types staying away. Same type went missing for the bubbles. Impact was obvious as they are the driving force away from results of that type of fan.

Listening to my friends still in Bristol and Relatives who follow the best team in Bristol, Most of the 'Hard Core' 'Ultras' call them what you will are likely to boycott the game so the fans that do go are probably not going to be the noisy pasionate lot who usually go also we usually take 2000 plus to Coventry less than half that number of tickets have been allocated and should we sell our allocation we could come close to out numbering the home fans.

About right but the type who are not going are more casuals veterans and their families. The younger elements follow them.

Just reading the OTIB page again do some of those fans know how to read? a Coventry fan posted on there explaining what was happening to the club and some idiot copied what he had said and then asked why were they in liquidation. Thank god they refused my application because I use a hotmail account I would have gone ballistic if I'd been on that board. I have no problem with people holding different viewpoints to me but that sort of idiocy is hard to stomach.
