Thought I'd creat a seperate thread for this. Villa's draw v Sheffield Utd keeps us above the relegation zone and that is where we want to be. All even steven with games played now! What are the next relegation teams' fixtures I hear you cry? Well, here they are: Norwich v Soton (fri) Brighton v Arsenal (sat) Muff v Palace (sat) West Spam v Wolves (sat) Villa v Chelsea (sun) All at home, who would have thunk that?
Except for Bayern, who seem to be marching on relentlessly. But possibly for 2nd place Dortmund, who had a surprise defeat at home yesterday, 0-2 against fourth bottom Mainz.
Well the second match is irrelevant - and I'd like to think we could be in with a chance of overtaking Southampton. So, hopefully Dave...
Southampton should be winning. We don't want Norwich too. Draw will be ok - we don't want Saints building confidence for next week! Harsh comment here on the BBC site? "You look at how slick Norwich play and wonder how they are behind some teams who just love to clog it up top like Watford for example. I guess Norwich just need a couple of extra quality players and they would be flying" Sounds like someone has been transported back to the 80s! Suppose we do look for Deeney a lot - or to get Sarr in but we also pass it around - sometimes too much.
I have a message telling me that if I cannot stand the crowd noise to go to a different platform. Seeing as I have the sound turned off it makes little difference.
I guess we play to our strengths and we don't have a lot of options.. Mind you Norwich seem to have lost momentum in this game.. By half time...
More like someone who has never watched us play - from my armchair viewpoint, I can truthfully say that we do that a lot less than other teams in the EPL.
...and useless, and as though they couldn't be bothered. I suspect they have accepted their fate - little choice now at 0-3.
Important result for Southampton . Hopefully they consider themselves safe now and do a Watford style finish to the season!
Wouldn't be surprised to see all these games today finish in a draw. Palace v Bournemouth on the BBC. Hardly one to set the pluses racing. Hopefully Palace can nick a 1-0.
Oh dear - so sad. Luton losing at home to Preston and now bottom of the table - Barnsley immediately above them winning at QPR. It must be all those £25 cardboard faces watching that have put them off...
