I very rarely go on to the boards of other teams but just wanted to see how Bolton supporters were reacting to yesterday's match so went on to their board and ... nothing! On looking more closely, I saw that the last two posters were our very own MrRAW, before yesterday's match, inciting two one-word responses, and Syd, asking for moderators. So I went to see if Bolton supporters' apathy was par for the course and found that since non606's inception, there have only been 109 posts. But they are not the least prolific! Blackpool 76, Blackburn 72, Wigan 66 and least of all WBA 53! That works out to about one post every three days! So is it the most successful teams that generate the most reaction on these boards? Well, ManU 13,912, Liverpool 9,928, Chelsea 2,053. So "successful" club would seem to be the criteria for supporter participation on not606? Not at all. Sunderland 37,432 posts and Newcastle 97,616!!! Why do you think this is? Are we in the north-east just more interested in football, it's more a way of life? Are we just more vociferous and/or loud-mouthed. Others might say that we haven't got a life. Or do the other supporters have other ways of expressing themselves? Why is it that we devote so much more time and energy to our football teams than any other clubs? I frankly can't imagine not spending some time a day on this board, even though I do "have a life". Are we in the north-east really a breed apart?
probably because some of these clubs are on different boards. There was like 5 alternatives and on other boards we have like 1 or 2 posts.
Glad to hear that in a way, albeit just for the sake of the other supporters. I don't see why we should be so involved and the others so uninterested. Do you know the other boards? I have absolutely no intention of going anywhere other than not606 to express myself and read what other Sunderland supporters have to say but I would like to know what other teams' supporters think about us, especially just after playing us?
The bottom line is that it is only Sunderland and Nukecastle fans from 606 that have embraced this site.
