In a moment of weakness, I find myself feeling a bit sorry for Pompey fans.

It is no good worrying about Reading drawing if we don't capitalise on the result. Come on Southampton.

Yes indeedy. My thoughts exactly. Win today and the pressure is then on Reading to win at Birmingham....but let's win first and get excited about that little proposition later.

Please god let us win. I will sacrifice my collection of odd shaped jelly babies and alf pog's for 3 points. Please please please.

Just listened Tony Husband's report of the Reading game. Always knew he was overly neutral about Saints [that means he's biased against them in a BBC way] but his underplaying of Reading's draw today against Palace beggars belief. He said all they have to do is win at Birmingham to win the Championship... as if playing away to the 4th best side in this league is a mere nothing. He barely mentioned that we might have a say in who has their name on the trophy, and that they may have to win, if Saints get the right result this evening.

I don't have moments of weakness ever as far as PooroldPompey are concerned.

I telephoned my Bristol City supporting friends and congratulated them on a fantastic result which kept them in the Championship.

I have to admit that I was chuckling to myself as I said it.
