That is if you support any?

Mine is Italy. First game I ever watched was the World Cup Semi-Final Italy v Argentina @ Italia 90. Whatever happened to the likes of Roberto Baggio who IIRC was rumoured to be coming to us once.

Switzerland and England due to my dubious heritage! England probably shade it because I learnt the game here.

Holland for no reason other than their inventive competitiveness for such a small country. Why can't we be more like them I ask?

Ireland (Eire), Scotland and Wales for the Brit in me that harbours a soft spot for home countries that lack resource but invariably give a pretty good account of themselves.

African (particularly west African) nations that have grown so much in such short a time on the international scene.

    I could go on...

Unusual that the first two posters are Englishmen that support another Country and Brix who's had his head half-turned.

Its Ireland for me, then any of the other home Nations.

Any underdog nation. And any team up against the Krauts, Dagos, Wops and Frogs basically.

Oh, and I hate racial stereotyping too.

The English team are the Pantomime Villains of world football. Every Country seems to want to beat them for some reason. A lot probably has to do with the hype you mentioned, Skinman.

I used to be England crazy - until all the hype kicked-in about them being about to win everything in sight and choking with such miserable performances.

England / Britain used to be about understatement and a little bit of quiet quality and sportsmanship. Oh for the old school in preference to the underachieving, foreign-led Bertie Big-Bollox! So unattractive.

Just hope Stuart Pearce or someone can turn things round and at least give us our national dignity back.

My favourite is of course Finland but as usually they didn't qualified to euro 2012. So ,as Finland is out again from the major final tournament i support Engaland again as i always have in the major tournaments. Mind you no wonder England don't get their act together in major tounaments because so many british or even english posters support other national teams.......

Yes swordie ,in Hodgson days we had a really good team with Litmanen ,Hyypiä ,Niemi ,Forssell, Johansson etc. Couple of times we were really near to qualifiy but as always it ended with tears. Hodgson was good and very popular manager in finland. His succssesor Stuart Baxter was not nearly as popular as roy in Finland. Mind you i support all the national teams from british isles before any continental national teams apart Finland of course.

I suppose by default it's England for me but I'd get more excited from seeing QPR win a throw-in than seeing those ****s somehow win a competition. It's actually a struggle sometimes to find someone in the England team who isn't a complete ****er.

I have been lucky enough to have lived in two regions of France having purchased a small hamlet in the 80s I have always wanted to escape having been brought up myself within a semi French culture
I was born on the sea and it seemed natural to go south and cross it
I have grown to hate English culture and I think I was right to do so
We are a greedy silly little nation that couldn't give a **** about anyone else if truth be told
This comes from my grandfather who was from Ireland ... The Irish and the French piss all over English people at being nice ..... Before you start a day trip to Calais don't qualify that is not France and Parisians are not representative also

London by the way is now a small country within a country

England and those stupid St Georges's Flag sticking out of Rovers are possibly the most crass vision you could paint about Football

Sadly I belong to this lost nation but not for long ... England is fed bull**** and what makes it funny ... Most people eat it ... You must buy a big house maybe two or three on the tick
Then let's all queue together at the Garden centre and moan about the weather

But it is the home of QPR hence the torment ...

Sounds like a bitter old git (no offence).

Its very unfortunate you feel that way Oddball. I hope you come round at some point and repent at your treason.

Now go jerk off to your Nicholas Sarkozy poster and have a wash you garlic chewing, Beret wearing, Frog-wannabe and tell your woman to shave her moustache.
