That's quite frankly moronic. Do you think every chef that leaves India to work in England, gets here and thinks "you know what they won't like our traditional food, I better change it for western tastes" If so you don't know many chefs. No many like Sachins cook the food they cooked at home, maybe more refined for a restaurant like it would in their own country.

To be honest I beleive you know, however being Indian I can tell you for certain that ALMOST every Indian you have eaten is not a traditional Indian meal at all. I perhaps have it wrong when I said all. The tatsebuds of you lot are not the same and are far less sophisticated.

Have you ever been to India?

I'll not reverse my opinion that most people have never eaten a proper Indian dish.

Get yourself to Sachins Tiote, you won't regret it. Get the Jalfrezi. This is punjab jalfrezi, not the stuff you get served from our takeaways etc. Not for the faint hearted!

Never been lucky enough to go. But I'm sitting opposite a lad who has family there and goes every single year for 6 weeks. He has said his family will put me and missus up when the little one is old enough to enjoy it. Be a few years down the line as she is only 3.

    lol, you're an idiot

my stepmum is indian. my first job was as a chef in an indian restuarant. i've eaten in india.

trust me, you can get authentic indian food in london. you can also get carribean, polish, thai, chinese, lebanese, syrian, brazilian, etc etc.

you might not be able to in a small town in the North of England, but London is big and diverse, and there are means to almost any need.

India. northeast, somewhere in Orissa i think - i forget the name of the town exactly.
her parents moved to the UK though, so there's only cousins etc. there now, we don't visit much.

but that's kinda irrelevant anyways. if you think you can't get foreign cooking (and ingredients) in London you are deeply mistaken.
millions of people, and hugely diverse. my wifes best friend is bangladeshi, her parents REFUSE to eat western style food, and they don't struggle to eat here, plenty of options. an ex of mine was Polish, and introduced me to places in Tottenham that served only polish food, and even took polish money. another mate of mine is from a jewish Hungarian family, and another friend is Lebanese. all of them eat here like they do at home.

and so on and so forth. your statements earlier are not only incorrect, but also a bit arrogant.

Yep, but judging by this thread is it proper Thai food....cos no food in England is proper Thai food (in the context of this thread).

Southern Thai food is much more spicier, where-as central Thai food is the most common, and the one most are accustomed to....

Norther Thai food, along with Lao food is utterly cack............

I'm fairtly correct in saying MOST people will never have eaten proper indian food. Now either **** your trap or agree do disagree.

I hope the sea rises by 10 metres in London and drownds you. If it's not today it's going to at some point so you better hope it's not me selling the snorkles sunshine

p.s. my stepmum is Indian, not Bangladeshi.

calling her Bangladeshi is the equivelent of calling someone from Newcastle a Scot.

    not that it matters.
