It was at a restraunt in Vilnius... see the downloadable menu (http://www.lokys.lt/en/about_us)

I only picked it so I could ask the lovely waitress how her beaver tasted.... which I did...... but then..............................................
ate it (nice tasting.. bit like beef) and spent the next day ill as hell... either Loky's revenge of the waitress getting one in.

Not really though. Although a good few are Bangledeshi dressed up as Indian (especially take aways), there are loads that are genuine Indian restaurants. To suggest they're all Bangledeshi is frankly nuts! As I say try Sachins, proper traditional punjab food done with a bit of restaurant flair. Of course the chef could easily be from teh Pakistan side of Punjab <laugh>

You are so wrong it's unreal. Have you ever been to India? do you have any indian freinds? no dishes served here are Indian dishes. You ask for a meal over there called the same thing and you get something entirely different.

Ask an Indian but make sure it's a real one! Indians and Bangladeshi's hate eachother.

Nope it's catered for western tastes. You couldn't handle a proper indian meal.

It's not the same as in India and it's therefor not Indan food. FFS It's food served to us over here by Indians. That is different.

Will I put it to bed for you Tiote and end your silliness?

The chef at Sachins is Kulmeet Arora. His predecessor Dinesh (Bob to me and most others) came to London direct from Punjab, India. He then trained under one of the top traditional punjab chefs before opening Sachins in Newcastle. He served a mixture of traditional punjab classics, along with his own personal favourites from home. The restaurant has since changed hands to Kulmeet Arora and his wife. Kulmeet has been trained by Bob, and kept the menu largely the same.

I think it is safe to say that the food served at Sachins is Indian not Bangledeshi food! You need to search a bit harder when picking restaurants. They're out there if you want them.
