On the 1st of May its my 40th and my Dads 60th. We both just found out yesterday (they had to tell us just in case my dad made arrangements to go to a blues festival in America the same weekend) that my Brother and Sister have got us both tickets to see the final, and all 4 sessions on the Sunday and Monday, with accommodation, its only the local premier inn but we dont give a crap about that. There was only a 10 minute window for ordering, and seemingly its nigh on impossible to get them for 1 session, never mind all 4. Chuffed to bits and just had to post it. (I now a lot will hate snooker, or not care, or say why didnt you post this in the snooker forum, snooker forum is pretty dead, and I thought this would get more replies/views in the Sunderland forum than there).
I don't know why, but I have a feeling that Hendry will come good and win it again this year.. I hope you have cracking time mate, and it is certainly someting that I would want to do..
yeah he got a 147 today, just not sure if he has the staying power for all the frames/rounds thats involved to win it these days. I have a feeling Judd Trump will win it, or ronnie again, hope its both of those in the final, be memorable but it wont last too long.
That's class. I'd love that. Like you say alot of people don't like snooker and would find it hard to even sit through watching a session on tv but I would love to go to the crucible. Top notch present. Our lass has got me tickets to the soccer Saturday thing at the arena in may for my 30th.
Well if you like snooker, that is a fantastic gift for both yourself and your dad..what a coincidence that both birthdays on the same day.. A lot of thought has gone into this from your family..topper.
Brilliant stuff mate and I know you will really enjoy it. Major finals in ANY sport are special events imo and I love snooker. Got my wedge on the Rocket to win it.
What a fantastic first round battle that's going on between Ding and Day! It'd 9-9 as I write, and I have a fancy that Day is going to clinch the decider...
