Besides a population of 3million living in complete denial, a president who is a moron and a football team of cheats and idiots, is their an underlying reason to why Uruguay, home of Luis Suarez are doing their very best to make the whole wide world laugh at them? Guardian sport ‏@guardian_sport 1m Luis Suárez ban: Uruguay president calls Fifa âold sons of bitchesâ http://gu.com/p/3qh3e/tw (Photo: EPA)
"The 79-year-old also described the Liverpool striker’s four-month suspension from all football, plus nine international matches and a £65,000 fine, as a “fascist ban”." Didn't realise Sisu was president of Uruguay...
Don't know about that, but he apparent stuck the nut on a lad on his 'behind closed doors' comeback last season http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/luis-suarez-accused-head-butting-young-3783226
President of Uruguay is a pretty decent sod actually. Not the worst, certainly better than Cameron Also, slating a nation for sticking together, while you brits all eat each other like rats, literally at the Uruguay game. turn on each other and so on, I fail to see how you can see that as better than a bit of solidarity from Uruguayans, even is it is a little misguided. Kind of like family, I can slate my brother but if you do it I'd remove several of your teeth, that is not actually directed at you as a threat if you get me. UIR I was always messing when I said you were a bit of a racist ****, I may have to revisit that opinion. The British media certainly are prone to racial stereotyping. There's a fair bit of that going on lately, you brits just can't take being beaten by Uruguay can you.
Seriously Sisu, dont let football tribalism taint your image of politics. Its despressing when people do this. Their president is far from a "decent sod". He tried to overthrow the government back in the 60's in a military coup and has been to prison multiple times.
Nothing to do with politics, they stick together right or wrong, nothing wrong with that. You lot and your media turn on each other any chance you get, where are the politics in that bold bit Swarbs mentioned Fascism not me, duh Yes, where is the politics? are you a complete ****ing eejit? One man compared to another is not politics dumbass
Um, they are politicians. And as I am assuming you know neither of them on a personal level, I assumed you were comparing them in a political sense?
No, slating a President for saying "what bite" when questioned about Suarez actions and then labelling FIFA "fascists" for imposing a ban on him. That's not 'sticking together' that's full blown delusion and a cynical attempt to insult the intelligence.
I did. They banned any talk of it until after he was banned. Then when a thread was opened and reds were criticising Suarez they ended up closing it with this comment; Honestly on one side people are willing him not to go. On the other we have people happy to treat Luis Suarez, lest we forget a Liverpool player, as someone akin to capable of domestic abuse or being a vile excuse for a human being or even an absolute scumbag. Whilst he is a Liverpool player there just is no way we can continue turning in a proverbial knife of sorts. Something just doesn't sit right with the latter comments people are making.
It's getting rather embarrassing for them now isn't it?! It comes back to the simple fact that he'll never change if those closest to him fuel his victim complex.
It's as if they don't talk about it, it's not real. The party line is we don't criticise him so therefore anyone doing so will be banned. It's run like the Stasi ffs.
