Do you think it should be legalised\decriminalised or not?

I think it's win win when you decriminalise weed for many reasons.

That's an excellent point from you ****y<ok>

Wouldn't the tax from weed benefit the system though. Well if that money made it into say education, but we know it wouldn't.

I think the tax from weed sales would have the ability to lower income tax, that much would be made.

It's a double edged sword. If it's legal many people can get much better quality and don't have to accept being done over as many are getting far less than they paid for, the majority don't know growers or grow themselves.

atm it's 20 quid a gram here in Finland as far as I know<yikes> I think it would be cheaper than that if legalised

If dope was legalised and available to all in the mainstream, we'd become a nation of ****ing Koala bears.

A legal 'blind eye' is the best tact imo.

A lot of it is to do with cultural attitude and perception. People wouldn't like the idea of schools or public institutions being funded by revenue from a source that would still have associations with criminality in the early stages of post-decriminalisation.

For me drugs are drugs, they are chemical compounds that alter the chemical balance in the brain and increase/decrease the levels of various neurotransmitters. That's all. Alcohol, caffeine, nicotine, over the counter painkillers... all drugs just ones that we have a positive, tolerated perception of. Caffeine even works in the same way as amphetamines by spiking the central nervous system, it's a psychoactive drug. Everything that's illegal... also drugs just ones that the authorities and law makers' prohibition of over time have caused to be seen as 'bad'.

I'm in favour of legalising all drugs. You can control the production and distribution so for example you don't get bad batches of ecstasy killing people, you can better monitor and treat heroin addicts and you take away the need for a criminal underworld in this area.

Drugs are drugs, caffine, nicotine, Codine? People get hooked on prescribed painkillers and it destroys their insides.

Weed also shown to help with PTSD

Also, making people criminals over smoking a plant, crazy.

Also, stoned people don't trash the city centre every weekend and they keep local grocers going :D

Only religious ******s oppose it being legal/decriminalised.

When Labour ignored the advice of expert scientists and said they were more interested in sending a "message" than following facts and logic, they effectively became a religion too.

    Socially harmful substances

Booze coke and cigarettes are top of the list, weed is somewhere near the bottom in terms of health impacts and impacts to society, if decriminalised the actual social impact reduces because people are not getting arrested.

In Seattle just recently they raided local growers took over 2k plants and left them with the 45 allowed to keep and 73 ounces of processed weed, AND ARRESTED NO ONE :D

Heard a good suggestion that if it's decriminalised/legalised those who want to smoke it should be allowed to keep several cannabis plants of their own to cultivate for personal use. No need for a market then.
