  1. Would you ride the world’s tallest waterslide? 140ft Meg-a-Blaster reaches speeds of 60mph

    If you have a fear of heights you should probably avoid the record-breaking 140ft tall Meg-a-Blaster waterslide.

    The mammoth installation is being built in Kansas City in the US and is due to be completed next spring, according to Gizmodo.

    Brave visitors to Schlitterbahn Park will reach speeds of more than 60mph on the way down, hopefully towards an equally massive pool.

    The 134.5ft Insano waterslide in Brazil is currently the world’s tallest, with people clocking up speeds of around 62.5mph as they descend.

    Oh, I thought that said would you buy the tallest waterslide <laugh>

    Still a no, not because of the heights.. although partly that, but I find those quite boring just in a straight line.

    I remember on a lads holiday we went to a waterpark and got into rubber rings to go down slides, and got a couple of mates to stop in one of the tunnels and we caused a pile up of about 8 of us. Safe to say, the workers didn't like us much after that one..

    not pushed

    <laugh>

    hardly looks terribly safe at the minute but honestly..... it a question simply of whats the impact speed at the end not the max, theres quite a bit of slow down required from 60 to a safe pool entry.... nah not to bothered really its not like bungee or skydiving is it. done both so i don't really see much in this

    Ooooooh yes! Love that ****.

    Did a big ol' death slide (zip wire) while climbing in Costa Dorada but didn't have the right equipment. Used harness, slings and 4 steel karabiners. Got to other end and zip wire had eaten through 2 1/2 of the biners.

    Great craic though.

    Love water slides as well.

    That thing in Vegas looks a lot safer, even your legs are clamped to a solid base. I'd do that one no problem <whistle>
