I lament the day that Antico Forno closed. Not only was it the best Italian in Hull by a country mile, it's the best italian Ive had anywhere outside of Italy. Anyone know what happened there? I did think its location was poor and it shouldve been on Newland Avenue.
I really like\liked La Perla on Newland Ave, although I do believe it may of changed owner recently and not had a chance to go in.
Roots is decent, Le Crepier Papin, I'v found to be okay but inconsistent. Jennys and Phils down newland is pretty good but it is more a coffee shop. Circle cafe opposite KC does really good chips. Crispy and soft.
I dont eat out that much and often thought there must be much better restaurants in Hull that I just didnt know about, turns out Hull really needs some good new restaurants
Not been for a couple of years but last time I was there the menu was exactly the same as it was in 1985.
Fudge is on that list but does anybody else find it nice but by no means that great at all. Its been a while since I went to the restaurant at top of The Deep (think its called 3 rivers but not sure) and that was pretty good definitely better then Fudge
Not impressed when i went. Ciao is better. Well disappointed with Roots. The curry was crap, like it had been reheated in a microwave, had cold bits in it. Bengal on Chants is a good curry house. Heard Henry Yeast is really good but not been yet.
Anybody eaten here? http://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/don-...nt-Hull-hits/story-20602007-detail/story.html http://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/Wing...-zero-rating/story-20814901-detail/story.html
