OT: The "I really could not give a toss about tonight's England game" thread

Discussion in 'Tottenham Hotspur' started by Hoddle is a god, Sep 8, 2014.

  1. This will be a fun one to play!

What activity will each of you be involved in, tonight, instead of watching Switzerland v England?

Me, I've suddenly realised that I urgently need to creosote the garden bench. Yes, I'll be doing it in the dark, but it will be better than watching England.

    Guaranteed.

I think they should bat first if they win the toss

  3. I've heard that Hodgson is organising a friendly against Iceland.

If we win that, he'll organise further friendlies against ASDA, Tesco, and Budgen.

  5. If we're really good, we might make it all the way to the quarters of the Co-Op Cup.

Stop! That creosote will come off on your clothes! Lightly rub down the bench with some 150 grit sandpaper, wipe off the dust and apply an exterior paint or clear varnish.

I shall be playing computer games. The England game will be on the TV but I shall only look up when the commentators squeal with excitement.

The comparatively thrilling spectacle of watching the grass grow.

    What a thrilling first half.

Tbf England should be winning, so that's a positive.

The Swiss and English players keep blocking my view of the grass. Why is it the Liverpool players play so much better for Liverpool? Sterling had a comedy miss on an easier shot than the one he buried against us.

    Speak for yourself, buddy!

    Or was it "sheet"?

Switzerland ranked 9 , England ranked 20 and we win 0-2. Well I did say that England would do better after the world cup and here we go. It was the jinx of having the two players Balotelli and Suarez against us that beat us. On to better things and for Spurs too. Now there's nothing to stop England progressing well in this competition.

So Danny Welbeck becomes the first player to reach 10 goals for England since Jermain Defoe on 12th August 2009.

Shocking statistic. Shows how devoid we are of young talent. In that time Muller's come into the Germany team and scored 25 goals.

Muller is a fine player. But, to be fair to Welbeck, Muller does have a slightly better team around him to help.

Didn't watch it... Only just saw the result this morning on the BBC site.

Sounds like I missed out on an amazing game! :emoticon-0138-think
