Just tuned in. I admire your optimism Stroller, and I hope you're right. Hopefully they'll relax and play with a bit of confidence as they've nothing to lose now. Let's hope Carberry or Root can have a good knock.
Yes that has a lot to do with it. The Aussies have also shown more enthusiasm for the fight, whereas we have looked like startled rabbits who thought that they could sleepwalk through this series. Cook is no captain either and lacks assertiveness. He also sounds like William Hague when he speaks, which really annoys me. He 'ums' and 'erms' even more than David Beckham.
A good solid start for England You should always bat first in a test match unless it is perfect bowling conditions
Can't tell you how good it is to hear one of you guys say that. From what l saw, our bowlers had the opportunity to bowl in an attacking mode but decided against it. Very poor effort which gave the Poms the chance to gain some confidence. It is an open game. The team who can hold their nerve and and play with some gusto will win it.
Good to see Pietersen go past Boycott in the all time test runs standings this morning. There were a few cheap shots from Boycott this week, which Pietersen handled with a touch of class
Seems Pietersen took Boycott's criticism to heart and decided to play like him. Hope to see him let rip tomorrow morning.
Too little too late, this is a bit of an anti-climax game, the South Africa v India game will be more like it...
I didn't realise it had started. What's happened? I've been too busy bouncing around the threads on here. I take it that it's just as bad as watching QPR?
