No this is not a thread about Sword's favourite ground......! Just a mention for those of us on here who have Scandi drama withdrawal symptoms following the end of Borgen just before Christmas. Our Saturday night Nordic Noir will be sorted with the return of The Bridge this Saturday night on bbc4 at 9pm. If any of the Scandinavian lads have seen it already, does it live up to the first series, but please No Spoilers. Tak.
Indeed. Far superior to Sky's The Tunnel remake hash Thin moody blonde in leather trousers driving an old Porsche - what's not to like?
Looks to me like a mid '70's Carrera 3 or a very early SC - either way in the Sky version the French copper bird drives a 944.......they just didn't get it did they?
Lets not forget the brilliant title track to the series.....
Thought I would give this a bump.... 2 cracking episodes last night, don't know if it is available on I-Player but if it is and you didn't see it last night give it a go......
I haven't watched yet, but would like to catch up on the 1st season of this series - I see a 2nd season is currently being produced, airing in June 2014. I also am also looking forward to "True Detective", a new series soon airing that you might also be interested in Tramore:- http://variety.com/2014/tv/reviews/tv-review-hbos-true-detective-1201024636/# At first blush, âTrue Detectiveâ looks like another brooding cable cop drama, distinguished primarily by the undeniable casting coup of pairing a suddenly red-hot Matthew McConaughey (and who saw that one coming?) and Woody Harrelson. It doesnât take long, though, for this hypnotic series to begin assuming a life of its own, wrapped in a multipronged mystery and featuring one of more unconventional protagonists to walk the beat in a while. Rich and absorbing, this eight-part drama quickly vaults into elite company, offering a singular voice thatâs unlike almost anything else on TV.
Second season now on BBC iPlayer Kilburn - first 2 episodes ran last night on BBC4 Not watched them yet, will be catching up on then later this evening
So the second season already airing? I should probably try and catch up with the first season before watching this? Perhaps on this side of the pond the scheduling is different than in the UK? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Bridge_(2013_TV_series) The Bridge (2013 TV series) The Bridge is an American drama television series developed by Meredith Stiehm and Elwood Reid, airing on the FX network, and based on the Danish/Swedish series Broen/Bron. Starring Mexican actor Demián Bichir and German actress Diane Kruger, the series' 13-episode first season debuted on July 10, 2013. On September 24, 2013, FX renewed The Bridge for a 13-episode second season to air in summer 2014. That other new show I mentioned, "True Detective", airs here in Canada on January 12th. http://www.hbocanada.com/truedetective/
Just watched Season 2 Episode 1 on BBC iPlayer - Initially I couldn't view since I got a "not available in your territory" message, so used the QPR Player Malaysian trick for the Donny game, found UK LAN proxy server settings, picked up the feed, then removed them, and voilà . Really enjoyed it, a bit like the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo trilogy, and even though it is now 11:20pm here and I'm back to work tomorrow after Christmas break, I'm moving on to Episode 2, drinking Chinese white needle tea accompanied by that fine Black Bush Irish sipping whiskey.
Yes, really enjoyed those two episodes of Season 2 on BBC iPlayer (once I figured out the proxy server settings trick). It looks like only Season 1, Episodes 7 - 10 are available on BBC iPlayer for viewing, but not Episodes 1 -6, which I'm sure are out there somewhere on the net. When will Season 2, Episode 3 be expected to be up on BBC iPlayer? The Bridge - Series 1 Episode 10 - Saga does all she can to crack the case and catch the killer before it's too late. Episode 9 - The clues and evidence have led the police to a man who could be the murderer. Episode 8 - After many suspicions and one witness statement, Saga and Martin arrest a fellow officer. Episode 7 -To draw attention to child labour, the murderer hijacks a bus full of schoolchildren. The Bridge - Series 2 Episode 2 - Four individuals in masks use signs to claim responsibility for the plague. Episode 1 - The coastguard board a ship headed for the Oresund Bridge and make a surprising discovery.
Probably from next Sunday as episodes 3 & 4 are to be screened on Saturday night.... Strange that season 1 episodes 1-6 are not on IPlayer, as you say they must be on internet somewhere, otherwise may have to resort to buying a late christmas present from Amazon....
Yep as Tramore says it will be on iPlayer next Sunday morning. BBC4 shows 2 episodes a week on the Saturday night 9 - 11pm
I'm really looking forward to viewing those 2 episodes next weekend. Now my wife is a purist and doesn't want to watch any part of Season 2 until she can catch up on all 10 episodes of Season 1. I guess I've rather blown it since the Season 1 finale is the intro to Season 2, but I'm happy to move forward and backtrack if I can find Season 1 episodes 1 - 6 (appears only 7 - 10 are available on BBC iPlayer).
I have found Season 1 and Season 2 on Dailymotion which is a reliable site (YouTube pretender). http://www.dailymotion.com/ca-en/relevance/search/The Bridge Broen Bron/2 Currently watching Season 2 Episode 3:- http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x16he3j_bron-broen-season-2-episode-3_shortfilms
Ah yes certainly did Kilburn....the plot thickens quite nicely.....won't say anything else in case wubba is only catching up on iPlayer......but it is keeping up the standard of the first series....
