Most are probably aware but it's worth reiterating that if Sunderland beat Cardiff tomorrow they will leapfrog the 3 above them to 17th place and will virtually ensure Premier League safety for us with three matches for us yet to play. Cardiff and Fulham won't mathematically be able to overtake us (barring Fulham getting double digit wins in their last two) and Norwich would need to beat both Chelsea and Arsenal. Feels strange given the season of mutual animosity between us and them, but I will be hoping for a Sunderland win.
f**k Sunderland and f**k Cardiff, I hope they both lose. I'd rather we went down than Sunderland stay up. If that makes sense. Which it does.
Even if its a draw Cardiff won't be able to catch us due to goal difference . If Cardiff win, Sunderland would need to win their last 3 to pass us (if we get no more points) and - like us - they still have to visit a rejuvenated Man Utd.
A Bruceing encounter. Injury haphazards erstwhile. And A Red Carded Affair. With A 0-0 Return. Perfect Scenario.
Norwich away to chelsea next week Sunderland cardiff a draw would be good, we ain't going down now on 37 And villa who are in free fall.. if we beat them next week I can see them going down with man city and spurs after
I hope they both win. Then there's more chance of West Ham and West Brom being doubly relegated. There is too many teams from the west of places in the Premier Division as it is. Up the Easties. That's wot I say. Except us obviously.
Good point. I would say I hope they both draw but I'd look a proper doilum. I therefore hope Sunderland draw and Cardiff lose. I'm gonna have a tenner on it.
Not too bothered about either team to be fair. Surely we'll be able to get a point or more from our next 3 games and survive on our own merit.
That's good round the corner thinking. Outside the box, but still within the box that the box is in however. I'd suggest Sunderland to win, Sunderland to lose and Cardiff to cease to be. That way only 2 teams would be relegated and we'd be mathematically safe. Barring teams overtaking our points score obviously.
They should do - but Cardiff will want to make it a stop/start scrappy affair and I can see the match becoming a blood and thunder game with a red card each at least. Cardiff need to score 1st to get anything from the game IMO.
Hells bells this is getting a bit confusing. I've heard if Altidonkey scores they get an extra point. Is that true? Is it? Why wouldn't it be? It makes sense.
