Found one of these while I was out with the dog:

Sliced, dipped in beaten egg and fried with fresh (just picked) tomatoes; served on fried bread.

    Delicious!

You should really preface that with a warning about knowing 100% what it is you're picking in the wild...There are some awesome apps for phones now, but it can still be risky.

Also, no bacon, sausage or black pudding? I never had you down as a tree hugging hippy Stan!

I'm assuming each reader possesses sufficient intelligence to avoid fungi they know nothing about (I only know about 5/6 that are fine to eat, for example).

I don't eat meat - so scratch the bacon, sausage and black pudding - but that would be fine for those who do.

I've got my eye on walnut trees, wild plums/bullace, rowan berries, blackberries, elderberries, sweet chestnuts, etc., that I shall harvest when the time is right.

Black pudding is the work of the devil ! Although saying that, some places serve chips with a full English, which is the work of the devils more evil twin !

I go to a restaurant in Sai Kung in Hong Kong, that does a full English with fries and it's great, though they serve it for lunch, rather than breakfast(fries and beer replace tea and toast).

    AND???

Had a Blaggis pie the other day, black pudding and haggis wrapped in pastry. Not for breakfast mind but that's a pie.

I've had white pudding for breakfast in Ireland but still not sure what that is but was lovely

Just watch it chazz don't lose too much too quick or you're getting rid of muscle and not fat. Apart from that good on you. I've lost 2 1/2 stone in a year but couldn't do it if i didn't treat myself now and again

    Well done Chazz.

I had some time out of work and plied the weight. I was 16 stone 5 and at the start of 2013, by the end of 2013 I'd lost 4 and half stone.

Honestly can't believe the change. So much more energy, sleeping better and just feel so much better now.
