Can anyone recommend a good set of speakers that i can play music through via my I-Pad/Spotify ?? Not looking at paying a fortune but would like it small, compact but a good sound. I'm a complete novice at these techie thing so any knowledge would be appreciated.

I have some that I'm willing to sell, I moved my computer to another room that already has speakers. they are surprisingly good and they have a speaker on the back as well which bounces of the wall and fills the room.

Stainsey - I got a Sonos speaker for Christmas - brilliant, hook it in to your wi-fi network, download an app and you can play all the music from your ipad, iphone, mac etc instantly and painlessly, including Spotify. We've got one speaker, the 5 (about £340) which is about 8 inches tall and 12 inches cross, 6 deep and a gizmo you plug into your router, set up less than 5 minutes. It fills a 25 x 14 ft room easily, but you can add others as you wish and build up a whole house full, and have different playlists on in different rooms. I am deeply impressed. Got it from a shop called Music Matters in Leamington - think they have a few other shops about and really helpful and knowledgeable people. Next step up is I think Bowers and Wilkins speakers, which are a lot pricier. Whatever you do go somewhere where you can listen to your favourite tracks through the system before you buy. PS you can get smaller (and significantly cheaper) Sonos speakers (the Play 1 and Play 3) as well still very good. Naturally when you hear them next to each other you are drawn to the most expensive - I am a salesman's dream - but I'm sure I would have been happy with either of these had I not heard the 5. You will need some kind of wireless or bluetooth system to play direct from your ipad. Flyer's stuff certainly looks like a bargain, its less than £50 new, not sure if it will work with your apple stuff though.
