Burnsy just tweeted this copy of the demolition application for the New York Hotel... please log in to view this image I understood that the council were planning to compulsory purchase the building, due to the owner not maintaining it and demolishing it themselves. This demolition application is from Tawazun London Limited, a company only formed in March 2013, by a Pakistani national called Aslam Rayaz, operating from an address in Wimbledon. He's 50, he's not listed as being involved in any other business and has never filed any accounts. Anyone know how this character got to be the owner of the building?
I don't think he's the same one. There's two Aslam Rayaz' listed on Facebook, one is CEO of Super Tech in Karachi, the other currently lives in London, so I it's more likely to be the latter.
