Further to my post re prostate cancer. I have some good news and some bad news. The good news is that we seem to have caught the thing early enough to completely get rid of it over a period of time and I have started the treatment today. The bad news is that you will have to put up with me for the forseeable future and the consultant said the treatment causes mood swings so beware but understanding of my disagreeable posts ( if any) Back to the good news. Catch it early everyone then its OK with very little disruption to your life once you get over the worry. Let me remind you -Troubled with your water works? See the doctor it doesn't hurt.
That's very good news Charles. I wish you well with your treatment. Are you taking the hormone treatment? My father was on that and his mood swings were as bad as my mother's and sister's. He also got hot flushes - watch out for those!!!

Hi Charles, just wondering have they started you on chemo , are you having your treatment in Castle Hill ? Here's hoping everything will go really good for you.. Chances are you won't get mood swings , here's hoping you don't...All the best Charles ..

I would like to thank you for your original post Charles. I realised that I may have had the symptoms for prostrate cancer. Went to the doctors and hopefully all is okay. Glad you are on the mend.
Well done Micky, I 'm glad you're OK, Initially it was the worry that got to me, but after seeing the consultantand him explaining the probabilities, all that eased off. I'm just looking forward to getting the treatment completed. Thanks for your Post.
Just to let you know I had tests done on the back of your previous posts,everything came back clear but you gave me the kick up the arse to go. Hope your treatment goes well fella. ps I married a Stokell's grandaughter!
