Ok, so if we had a choice to select the winner of this years PL ................. who would it be and why? For me, I wouldn't mind seeing a change at the top, not to mention my brother follows Liverpool ................... and there was a fab group come from there as well. So me, it LIVERPOOL. Your thoughts?
We'll never hear the end of it if its Liverpool. City, or preferably Arsenal, though they look to have blown it, Everton may even sneak 4th off them. Its been a good competitive season though.
Yeah, I was a big fan of Echo & The Bunnymen too. The Gunners have fallen away, so I'd like Liverpool too.
Liverpool, because they're playing the best football and are great to watch. Not a fan of theirs normally but like watching them now.
Of the ones with a decent chance I'd like to see Liverpool win it this season - there is something refreshing about their football this season. I still think Mourinho will nick it tho.
Liverpool for me, all the way. Not just because I don't want any of the others to win it, I genuinely like them. Proper club, proper ground, passionate support and the way they are playing this season deserves reward. Plus my brother in law is a scouser.
Well said. They're playing by far and away the best football as well. Arsenal have no chance, the ****e and Maureen are losing it and City remain the only threat.
Arsenal would be my favourite, but they look to have blown it. After that, probably City to further rub the Red's noses in it over Moyes. Liverpool next. I don't have a fourth favourite....
Liver pool Because they've got quite a few home nations players and it's time for a change. Plus, I have nothing against them.
As a kid growing up in Shepherds Bush I could never understand why my fellow school mates never supported QPR. There we were in the playground playing and talking football with the away stand of the School End overshadowing us and the Loftus Road floodlights high above us, yet only ten per-cent followed the R's? All of the West Indian kids supported Brazil, and the rest of the white kids followed Chelsea, Man U or Leeds with a smattering of Arsenal and Spurs fans? I didn't have a clue about glory hunters in those days. As the 70's developed, so did the sudden penchant for the support of Liverpool among my young peers. All of the Chelsea, Leeds and Man U fans had suddenly swapped allegiances. Even the West Indians proclaimed that they now followed Brazil and Liverpool. This was now becoming very confusing for a lifelong ( Albeit <10 years ) young QPR fan who had access to the stadium and the club less than a foot away from where we stood. Why didn't they embrace the Ranger's in the same way that I did? I think the point I'm trying to make is this.. I think that there are only about ten per cent of us that stay loyal to a football club through thick and thin. Of course you still have that loyalty and die-hard fan base within a larger club, but it is generally those that have stuck by the smaller clubs that should be applauded. We all display our moans and gripes but we've remained. The Liverpool fans have come and gone, but now they're back. It is them that I want to win the Prem because they are a lesser evil than Chelsea or Man City. It was a toss up between Liverpool and Arsenal but the latter are now clearly out of the running. To sum up my point, we have a bloke at work who is a Palace fan, but he has always been a Liverpool fan really, but recently he has been a Man U fan because his boy likes them. He and his boy got tickets to watch the Palace v Man U, but in the last few weeks his boy has decided that Man U aren't that great after all and he want's to be like his dad and follow the 'Pool.' But only at Selhurst Park. They are currently Liverpool fans living in the shadow of Crystal Palace. They've never been to Old Trafford or Anfield but find it funny that QPR might not go straight back up this year. They also find it amusing that Palace went up via the play-offs whereas we might not. Utd are still in europe and Liverpool are fighting for the title. Sometimes I feel like a born loser.
Good post Nines. I had to laugh the other day when I heard a woman on the radio saying that despite being "severely tested", she thinks she's going to stick by United and remain loyal. It must be awfully hard to have to follow a team 7th in the Prem and in the Quarter Finals of the Champions League
QPR before my time is up in this world, but on the current event I would like to see Liverpool for there attacking policy & I think suarez is the best player in the world at present, don't like some of his antics but what a player.
