Love it or hate it? You have either been covered in it or are about to be. What are your thoughts on this bloody silly weather? Can't stand the stuff myself and will be indoors over the weekend provisions have been bought (beer) so I'm all ready for it. On a side note what are the chances of this bloody silly thread being more popular than my sensible thread "Out of Time"?
only weather that annoys me is the ruddy wind. cant say i am a fan of the cold or snow, but i remember when i was younger i loved the snow, and it is good to get kids out being active in the fresh air now days rather than stuck in on the frigging pc or games station.
Oh sure, it looks pretty enough, but then the reality sets in: Car won't start Can't drive anywhere even if it DID start Heating bills go up (like we can really afford that ATM) Pipes freeze up
I fkn love the snow, but I'll be in Helsinki and it's handy enough getting around cos they can deal with the bad weather, several forest ski tracks in the city. â¬2 to use a speed skate rink all day and free skating all over the place. In Ireland it's a fooking nightmare So I voted Love and Hate
Love it when being off work and watching everyone else struggle through it. Hate it when i have to work and being in it on 2 wheels(Motorcycle). Common theme there me thinks.
None of that has anything to do with snow... that's just cold weather. Snow actually acts as an insulator to prevent temperature going down even further. I hate snow anyway though. (Having a warm winter this year... been 25C+ all week here... about to get cooler though)
Need a middle option. I'm not keen on snow because its bloody cold but it also presents the opportunity of missing work, plus I can take that kids sledging (queue jokes)
Love Snow & Ice but we rarely get it long enough here to be useful: skiing etc. Typical! When I was climbing the ice routes in the Mournes never came into condition and they look like they'll be good to go two years in a bloody row
South Carolina. Quite a freak week. Cooling down again now... broke our record highs for several days in a row... bizarrely I've heard we may get snow ourselves in the upcoming days.
