OT - Skiing

I have to decide by 7 tonight whether i go skiing in bulgaira (borovets), i am used to sking in french alps resorts like las saisies with runs spread over 4 mountains and 70 odd runs.
i dont know if anyone has ever been skiing in bulgaria, this place has 15 runs but it is cheap very cheap, £400 for a week half board. i can takle most red and black runs i the alps.
has anyone here ever been skiing in eastern europe and what is it like, cheers.

 

Went about 10 years ago and the skiiing is good but I found the basic amenties below the standard you'd expect in the Alps and some of the ski lifts etc were antiquated.

I've heard that these issues have been resolved with a lot of investment. Seeing that it's dirt cheap for a week half board and the cost of living is very cheap you should go.

 

Never skiied (spelling?) on anything other than a dry slope when I was about 10, but I've only ever heard good things about Bulgaria!

OT: I would have no idea, other than if there's a local ski club near you it could be worth asking there. All the "rankings" websites are probably spammed and not worth trusting.
