Correct. She has confirmed she wont leave London area for Salford. What a choice to have to make though.

The BBC's Salford project is an absolute joke - a monumental waste of money. Sian Williams is one of very few who have not been talked into making the move - she's rejoined Radio 4. But hundreds of other staff are going to be compensated for making the move, and/or rack up thousands in train and hotel expenses (the move is a godsend for Virgin Trains). That's tens of millions down the drain... and why? Just to fend off accusations of Londoncentricity - even though the Beeb's London operation has always been largely staffed by non-Londoners who will never forget where they came from. So, the next time you feel like slagging the Beeb off for a silly mistake on the website or for giving up on Football League or F1 coverage, remember where all that money they're saving with those cuts is going. Thanks a lot, Mark Thompson. Worst. Director-general. Ever.
