For those not familiar with 'Scream if you want to go faster', it's a book by local author Russ Litten and it's a novel based around the week of Hull Fair in 2007. Here's a short film(filmed on a phone), with an extract of the book(it was supposed to be a bloke from Hull talking, but he pulled out at the last minute)... Class that. Cheers for sharing. Last bit shows Hull's taxi drivers are as insightful and as grumpy as ever. Reminds me of when me and my mates jumped in a taxi to go down Prinny Ave, and he started telling us how him and his fellow cabbies would go out and pick fights with the bus drivers whenever business was bad. He said, they'd do it so the bus drivers would go to their Unions and maybe even go on strike and they'd get more business. Dunno if it was true or not but it got a laugh.
