Legendary batsman Sachin Tendulkar will retire from all forms of cricket after playing his 200th Test next month. The 40-year-old former India captain, who retired from one-day internationals in December 2012, will end his career with two matches against West Indies. "It's hard to imagine a life without playing cricket because it's all I've ever done since I was 11," he said. Tendulkar is the highest scorer in both Tests and ODIs, with 15,837 runs in 198 Tests and 18,426 runs in 463 ODIs. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/cricket/24476273 I remember watching him and Aravinda de Silva bat together for the Rest of the World at Lords, it was like watching the 1975/76 QPR team in full flight. Good luck and thanks Sachin.
Yep remember seeing him & a young ganguly & dravid bat tremendous players when they first started out but sachin had that bit extra.
One of the very few sportsman for whom the title 'legend' is appropriate. A true master, alays torn when he took to the crease against England - did I want an early dismissal, or to witness a great in full flight. Actually the latter in most cases.
Not only a legend from a technical sense, but also conducted himself as an absolute professional. A sportsman that will be held in peerless supremacy for his sport. A true honour to have watched him on many occasions.
