That makes sense to me. Seems like it would either mess up European leagues by moving the competition time, or it would be a rubbish competition due to heat exhaustion. A good, logical decision from FIFA!!! Whatever next...

I heard today that the long-awaited 'independent report' into the corruption surrounding the awarding of the 2018 & 2022 World Cups will not be published but is just for the eyes of the chosen few at FIFA, you really couldn't make it up...

The chosen few being Sepp Blatter and his shredding machine. He'll then release a wax crayon drawing of all bidding teams holding hands under a smiling sun with a one-windowed house with smoke pouring out the chimney in the background.

I hope for the good of a fellow R that the decision to take the cup from Qatar is delayed until Wubba has extracted his millions from the contract and is safely retired.

Nothing stopping out here, in fact the Qatari's are ploughing on with it at full speed. We are just starting the stadium at Al Wakrah and they are well on with building a complete metro / underground network.

I can't see FIFA taking it away from Qatar, there are too many reputations that would be destroyed. The view out here is that it will be moved to later in the year. Its quite bearable now, around 105° most days and 90° at night

Latest on this issue...moving it to November/December just messes up every league in Europe, as well as on other continents. Disappointed this looks like it's going ahead.

FIFA is corrupt to the core, even the investigation into corruption was corrupt, there is too much money involved so some of it will be thrown in the right pockets and it'll probably go ahead in the winter, screwing everyone over who matters!
