As it's very quiet on the board I thought I'd post this little item that I hope won't ever happen to any of the guys on here.

Is your computer secure from others using it and getting into any accounts you might have?

As football supporters most of us have a flutter on our team from time to time and maybe one or two let their youngsters have use of the computer. But how easy would it be for a 5 year old kid to go onto a computer and get into your account and run up a debt of £50, 000.00? It seems like a lot of cods wallop to me but somebody got away with what a kid was supposed to have lost on his account. Apart from having the password to his Pa's account he would have needed the details of his Pa's banking, debit/credit cards, the 16 digit # on the card and the security code on the back.

On top of being able to get into the account, how many kids know anything about spread betting and can send messages (spelling etc) that would pass as being from an adult?

I think this guy has been very lucky to get away with what was a desperate attempt to win money without being able to back up the cost of his bets. Just my opinion.

Penny wise, pound foolish as they say, but I think all his luck has been used up on this one.
