Yes it was and is a record. Teemu was also a joint top scorer with Alexander Mogilny that season. Huge player and now 682 NHL goals and six or seven knee operations later he plays tommorrow against Russia 43 yrs 9 mths old.

Keep it quiet, Redknapp will try to sign him if he finds out he's that old and still playing!
Its amazing players can last that long in hockey.

I believe teemu could fo the job because he dont play only because of money. He have all the money he like. The main thing is that he loves that sport so much. If someone wants to pay good money for it its even more nicer.

I know about his car collection which is ridiculous, I've never been about money either. There's no point having it if you are stuck in a job you hate for 40 hours a week.

Likewise bully boy. Two years ago i took a half of the year off and truly realised how much crabby work can take out of your time. Yes teemus auto collection has gone bit out of control...Anyway i have him as one of the best finnish athlete of all time.

Olympic icehockey is great. Now Slovenia puts sweden between rock and a hard place. After two periods sweden is just 1-0 up.

Getting nervous yet Igor? The Russians remind me of QPR, they probably have the most skill in the olympics but aren't a team at all.

The 3rd goal was very lucky, should have been a Russian pp instead of a finnish one but a deserved overall lead so far.

So its probably the swedes next followed by the yanks or canucks, thats the hardest route to the gold for sure.

Yes. Russians were just the starters. Sweden match is going to be much tougher and when you know the (icehockey) history between them it makes the match delicious. Yep, thats probably is the route and you have to win two match more (in a row) for the gold medal. I believe finland is ready for that and get the job done! In history we have two bronze and one silver so go on you FIIIIIINNNNLAAAAAAAAADDDDDD !;)

Living in Canada obv following the Canucks.....the excitement here is akin to a world cup except anything less than gold will be considered a failure here....lots of pressure on them but an OT winner against the yanks like last time would be perfect.....only Sid the Kid could write that story

Yes Sid the Kid was the hero in vancouver and nobody remember anymore his otherwise poor tournament. Canadahoop you wrote about USA and Canada but how you consired about the chances of Finland and Sweden? The fact is that either Finland or Sweden are in the final!
