Walking to work this morning and spotted this understated banner: The National Rifle Association is holding its annual get together in Indianapolis. Though I'm not one of the knee jerk, chip on shoulder anti Americans we see in the UK, the gun thing has always perplexed me. There are some seriously heavy blokes in town, extras from Sons of Anarchy abound. Nine acres of guns!!!! The state of Georgia has recently passed a law legalising the carrying of concealed weapons in bars, sports venues and government offices among other places. They missed schools off the list. I was told this by appalled libertarian Republicans.
The massacres will continue and may God bless the good old US of A. I personally like America for many things but their thoughts and their everyday thinking of guns, the third amendment and apple pie really worry me................... well, not so much the apple pie.
Imagine if they had that Georgia law over here, Chelsea score in the last minute and a bar gets wiped out...
