He just beat Federer by 3 sets to 2, after winning the final set 6-2.

He'll now play Djokovic in the final on Sunday.

He might be a miserable twat, but he really does look like a winner nowadays.

Fair play to him, he's doing the business now.

I dunno why people want sportsmen & women fromm Britain to fail all the time.

Is it really because he comes across miserable?

Federer and Djokovic are hardly the life and soul of the party anyway.

I watched the first set and some of the second. Murray was playing some phenomenal tennis, particularly in the first set

Thanks for that! I was recording it and had only got to the fourth set when I read your post.

He's a lot more likeable nowadays. Might have seen the end of Federer at the top today which is a shame, dominated by Murray. Will watch with interest on Sunday to see if Murray has improved as Djokovic has the advantage of being more rested this time unlike at the US.

I don't know what Murray was like at the end of the game but maybe he doesn't want to show emotion while he's still in the tournament.

Anyway, tennis is as much about concentration as it is about strength, fitness and ability.

I used to play in a league against people I'd never met before and usually when you changed ends you'd exchange a few words or have a chat and a laugh. I played against one guy and at the first change of ends he totally ignored me! This continued until the match finished when he was friendly enough then. He must have watched too much tennis on the telly.

I used to play regularly against a guy from Birmingham and you know what a lot of guys from Birmingham are like. He always looked like his whole family had just been wiped out in a car accident although when he talked to you he was fine.

Thanks for that, I'll make a point of not watching it.

Country file will be on anyways and I quite like that Julia Bradbury bird.

Balls to Murray, in fact new balls please to Murray

<laugh> I've tickled myself with that one.

He's phenomenal now - winning the gold medal at the Olympics started the ball rolling. I think he could win quite a few majors now.

If I'm going to watch match of the day and the football results come on the news my wife is always shocked when I close my eyes, put my hands over my ears and start screaming!

I was watching Murray earlier and he dropped a point and I made a loud obscene comment. My wife came running down the stairs with a worried look on her face and asked me what had happened.

Interesting that, my mam says theres something off about her and won't watch the TV if she comes on. Funny how people pick up on things like that.
