(OT) Millwall to search own fans for Turkey flags ahead of Leeds visit

    Millwall will search their fans for Turkey flags when they play Leeds on Saturday to avoid a repeat of last season's taunts over the two Leeds fans stabbed to death in Istanbul in 2000.
    The Lions issued bans when supporters baited the visitors at the New Den over the deaths of two fans before the UEFA Cup semi-final against Galatasaray in Istanbul.



    The people that do this kind of thing are complete idiots <doh>

    Can't they just ban Millwall from existing? I remember when we lost to Hull in the cup only for them to draw Millwall at home and have their stadium ripped to bits. Dodged a bullet there.

    Leeds fans are not as bad IMO, Milwall fans seem to enjoy the fact that everyone hates them <doh>

    You wouldn't mind if it was comedy Robbie Savage-esque 'hate', but its not. They're hated because they do ****ing scummy things like this.

    I'm not sure Milwall deserve all the stick they get. They are an old-fashioned working-class club with an interesting history who have shunned the dubious corporate trappings of the modern game.

    I quite like them and the fact they couldn't give a monkeys about BBC middle-class opinion.
