Without wanting to get into another Adel debate thread.....watched 20 mins of tonight's ECL game and AT did not look out of place alongside Essien, DeJong, Balotelli & Kaka. Interestingly he kept it simple but with the odd flash. Obv felt less pressure to do everything in that company and was more effective as a result.....also unlikely to be the looniest in the dressing room with that lot!!
Most of Milans squad is made up of overpaid players who are well past their prime but on a lot of money. An Italian version of QPR in a way, but at a slightly higher level. But because Taarabt will have a bit more respect for Milans players it will turn him into more of a team player. If Taarabt come back to us, then that respect for his team mates would be gone again.
I agree - wasn't promoting him at all, just thought id mention it out of interest as I was channel hopping.
If you read the "tonights Games" thread, you'll get one of the most hillarious minute by minute commentarys of the Milan game...going from sublime to s**e Quite funny really ..Enjoy
Pointless dig at your fellow posters, you contributed a good few posts yourself to that thread. The Milan message boards are very positive about Adel, have him as best player for the last 3 games. Consistency is of course the key so no hyperbole for a while yet. Unfortunately Milan don't have the cash to buy him for what he may be valued at if he keeps it going.
He is making the most of his chance at AC Milan ... I find the mild slurs on that club off the chart and a weak argument. They are a giant in world football IMO Taarabt didn't look out of of place IMO in fact looks at home in the biggest club competition going. The premier league to me is about as dull as it gets I am pleased for the player and hope he continues and finds a home because he deserves it IMO We were blessed to have him at our club and however you say it looks like any argument about his ability is now settled. What remains is just worthless pride from people who couldn't see
Attempts to compare Milan to us are laughable. They are going through a rough patch, as is Italian domestic football in general, but will always be one of the great clubs in world football and will undoubtedly be back at the top one day. The names in their current team are awesome, but too many just a little too long in the tooth and past their prime. However, an attacking 3 of Balotelli, El Shaawary (currently injured) and Adel looks pretty good to me.
He is still under contract to us, and many of us believe him to be the best QPR player we have seen in decades (or ever in Paul's case). He has certainly given me more entertainment than all of our other players put together over the last few seasons, I'm not inclined to forget him. For personal reasons I have a very big soft spot for Milan as well, so if he's not playing for us this is definitely the next best thing for me. Adel is still very much on topic for QPR fans, though we have very little new to say about him.
As much as many wish we could, there are some, that continually want to prove their point, however irrelevant it is to our current plight (good or bad)
Exactly, so let's move on or move over to the Milan forum. He is our player in name only. Would much rather have Remy back but that won't happen either. MOVE ON GUYS! .
Just don't think that's going to happen, even after he's sold. I've lost count of the number of times Queens has said 'That's my last comment on him" before coming back again with more. The threads which revolve around him (this one even has OT in the title) are easy enough to spot and easy enough to avoid/ignore if you don't like it. I agree many of them are really boring and occasionally nasty, but as long as they don't break the board rules I thought the purpose of a place like this was to allow people to debate whatever they like.
You really think its a dig mate, then yu are getting paranoid mate... try this... sit in an office with no radio and no link to the feeds. Open the thread and read through it post by post with the time spaces in between each post... try and imagine based on each post, 1 at a time what is going on in the game then express what you are feeling i started of believing AT had been doing really well and performing. I got past the usual sarcasm and bull posts and it seemed to be going ok then i got to Rollers, then Awjm's...... Now tell me it doesnt go from being on a high to Aj saying it was ****e? i had origionally been looking forward to watching the game & by the end i (as was Col) were persuaded to only bother with the highlights You're looking for some thing that aint there mate Appology accepted mate......
cheers mate...I seem to remember you being very much against him at one stage and pointing it out (as you do with Harry). now something has changed and you want to pick out peole who stick to thier own views? Whats that about mate? i have no problem with posters having thier own opinion but never drag others names into posts. We all know you dont like Harry and maybe this is your way of getting at him, but that up to you. thier are a small band willing Harry to fail for reasons i havent yet worked out...personally i just dont get it. but i do understand At suceeding outside QPR will be another point they can raise against him. A couple of loses and its all getting a bit boring now...!! god know what would happen if we were lower....some have managed to drag a totally unrelated thread into an adel thread..without my help... FFS..cheer up lads EDIT...was it me know bought up At performance and proceeded to try and ram it down others throats....mmmm...usual suspects in action again...maybe you should have a dig at them first...even if they are on "your side"?
As entertaining as ever. I had a down on Adel in the first few months of the 2011/12 season, then realised its exactly players like him that make me pay to go to football matches. Sorry for 'dragging your name in' I won't do it again. I couldn't care less about Redknapp, I just want this club to succeed and the team to entertain me. I never thought he was right for us, but I never expected the type of football we are seeing now. I don't have an agenda Queens, I just respond to what I see written, and I don't take anything written personally.
True but the point is as a club we let things slip ... We really should try everything we can to get him back iMO. 50/50 whatever the argument? He wanted out ... he was pushed Little doubt either way the boy believes in himself and that has to be credit to him. He is the best I have seen in a QPR shirt and after our history of so many greats : Thomas Bowles Marsh Sir Les Trevor etc etc I didn't ever think these players would be surpassed. I am willing to bet that on this forum he would be in most fans all time QPR top tens If I was the owner of QPR then back he comes at any cost ... this talent at 23 and a decent manager ... it's a no brainer He won't of course and we are all bound to praise a new star. I am forever sad that we lost him and will never take to Harold as our manager fully
