I had heard the Nails version and din't like it.
The Cash version blows them out of the water imo.
Very few songs have moved me as much as this Cash version.

I can remember the first time I heard it on the radio whilst driving.
Downloaded it as soon as I got home.
Can't remember any other song I have liked so much on first hearing.
    Maybe Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen.

So evocative mate the video is a great swan song and reflection on his life! One of those songs that majesty the hair on the back of your neck stand up! Personally like the NIN version (but I'm a fan) but Cash's blows the original out the water

The word legend gets bandied about too easily these days but Cash earned his spurs over a great life.

This is a classic version of a classic ballad. Brilliant stuff.
