A timely reminder. My dad served in both World Wars. Whenever there is talk of "free speech" I think of those of his generation who died defending it. Today, despite my opposition to wars in Afghanistan and Iraq I tip my hat to those who served there. There have been achievements in Afghanistan of which we can be proud. We can only hope that this provides some comfort to those who lost loved ones there. Off topic? Yes. But sometimes we need reminding that our heroes just play football.
