OT: Hidden Art Gallery

I might be he only person on Tyneside that didn't know about this place, but i was taking a wander through Eldon Square this afternoon and for a change had a look in Eldon Garden. There's a little Art shop up in the far corner on the upper level. From the outside it looks like a pokey little shop with not much in, but its like a rabbit warren. There's about 10 rooms full of paintings and pics, by 120 Geordie artists. There were quite a few of SJP (old and new) and other footy related ones. Its like a little treasure trove and I didn't even know it was there. Just wish I had a bit more wonga to have treated myself.

Well worth a visit if you're in the area and stuck for something to do. I was there about half an hour and didn't do the place justice. Plan on popping bac when I've got more time to have a good look through their old prints.

I think it was called the North East Art Collective. That might be wrong but its not far off.
