Has anyone else played it? I've recently acquired it and I must say it's far better than the previous versions. Although it's solid. I've almost bankrupted us to get us promoted :s. Then again, with a front 3 of Maynard, Rodriguez and Sharp, I am sitting pretty in 3rd in the league come January...

I was enjoying it, is better then FM11. Although seen as it won't let me play unless I connect to internet I have given up and gone back to FM11 for a while.

They haven't made a big enough change from last year for me.

I find myself getting bored of it after half a season, it's same old same old and next year they need to have a complete overhaul. I'm thinking of starting a file with Grimsby and trying to get them to the Premier League.

I've finished my 3rd season with City, finished mid table in first season, 4th in my second and went up through the play offs then finished 9th in the Prem, winning manager of the year, spending 16million but still making a 15million profit!

    Happy days!

Quick tip for you and everyone else here it is impossible for you to ever bankrupt a club as SI have coded it so that no team can ever go bankrupt as according to Miles Jacobsen, it is 'illegal'....

Won the Championship in the first season without changing too much about. Final day thriller mind, got beat by Coventry and luckily Blackpool lost too.

Sold Koren for £1.5m (Travesty but needed the cash for signings) and Harper for £200k.
Brought in Scott Wagstaff (Right winger til Cam was fit) from Charlton for £120K in August.
Brought in Robson-Kanu (On the Left once Brady left) for £1.2m in Jan, along with Shaun Hutchinson (DC, Great spot by my Scouts) for £300K.

Fryatt finish top scorer in division on 27 goals, so get your act together in RL Super Matty!

Things have looked up since and swept the board at every competition. I'm now in 2024 and the new stadium is a 65000 all seater call Harrison Park. Mr Allam is long gone, replaced as director by Mark Maguire!!!

Bit irritating how easy it is. Most people would love to win the Premier League 4th season or whatever but I need a bit of realism. Only takes you a year in the PL to build a strong Premier League season.

Signed Daniel Sturridge and Federico Macheda in my 3rd season, a strikeforce that bagged 56 goals between them in my 4th season.
Generally a great game and can be difficult in your first year in charge of a team, but once match preparation bars are full it's a complete doddle.

As for Koren, he's absolutely useless for me, where is everyone playing him successfully?

Ive had nothing but problems with it since i bought the thing. steam wont work and when it does the game wont work...ive sent them a couple of emails so waiting on their reply! When i have managed to get on the game i lost in the play off semis to forest in my first season but 8 points clear at the top in march in second season. My colombian striker Darwin Quintero is tearing the league apart! Stephen Dobbie and Billy Sharp not doing too badly for me either!

This is correct, however your club can be placed into recievership, which may lead to a points deduction and also usually entails a lot of players leaving for other clubs on a free, so finances are still important ;)

Have the game but play it rarely. My laptop, whilst decent, struggles for some reason

There is a decent City thread on the SI game forum

Unbelievable really the vast amount of data and effort that has been put into the game.
I've only just noticed that if you click on 'History' you can go back as far as our first ever season in existence and view the Division, League position, wins/draws/losses, GF/GA and points from every single season from then 'til now.
