Just found this on SSN, at least it's a class goal & an Englishman. http://www1.skysports.com/watch/vid...7521/sky-sports-vault:-first-live-prem-goal£
I swear Ive not even looked but I would guess it was Sheringham for Forest vs Liverpool. I watched it and recall what's now the away end there being under construction at the time and the furore from fans phoning in afterwards about the scoreboard constantly being on screen during Sky coverage. It was the first time it was ever used and imagine if that went away now? Prior to that I was forever watching a game for 20mins before I even knew what score it was. Have I got the right game and goal? And I cant even remember what I had for lunch yesterday... Also anyone remember the Sky Strikers on Monday Night Football? Jesus H.....
I think the thread shouldve been 'first live televised Premier League goal'. We didnt have the early Saturday kick off in those days.
Its probably the most simple and best thing Sky ever did. Totally changed the tv viewing experience and you literally cant imagine watching without it now.
I was about to say 'no, it was Brian Deane' but I have been beaten to that. Great question for a quiz though.
