You've based that one person posting it? BTW for those who have no clue, it simply means Chezzy and McGregor are in EA Sports' Team of the Week.
From what I've seen, there are a lot less young people out playing football and a lot more playing online.
Stats actually show that there's more kids in official sports teams then ever before. People can play both video games and play outside
You do realise people can both play football outside and on a games console? Why do people always assume that anyone who plays video games plays them 24/7?
Link? We played Saturdays for school and Sunday for youth club. There's hardly any schools football now. So i doubt your stat.
http://www.sportengland.org/research/who-plays-sport/ I only know because I conduct this study myself. We were told the result had been encouraging surrounding younger generations
It's not what I assumed at all, I play video games all the time. In fact I'm playing Football Manager as we speak. Of course people can and probably do both, but from the evidence I've seen working in schools and with young people, there seems to be an underlying theme of "Why bother wasting energy running around when I can just be Wayne Rooney online?" Kids have the option of both, it's just that from what I've seen first hand they'd rather just play FIFA or Pro Evo than actually get up on a Sunday morning and play it IRL. I remember when games consoles were constantly improving and everybody spoke about graphics "looking just like real life."
While I was at school near enough every lad did both - and most played more of it IRL. (BTW I'm currently playing FM too )
didnt kids in the golden era of the 70s spend most of the time being molested by the rich and famous ?
Playing an organised hour or two. Kids used to learn how to play kicking a ball around in the streets or any spare area of concrete. That has declined massively.
