Anyone been watching the cricket? I've been following the scores on Cricinfo - quite a game. England 0 for 2 after the first over and chase down 190! Have to watch the highlights tonight.

Watched it on the feed at work - Frank Spencer fielding, and Peter Glaze batting to start with - then they chase it down. Brilliant.

This has to have been the worst 6 months for English cricket for a very long time. Poor Stuart Broad, the only one to have been involved in every fiasco. About time something good happened.

I just worked that out and added to my post mate, whilst reflecting with a grin on Tooting's reference to Peter Glaze. Crackerjack!

Been following both games today via beeb text service (with time delay)....tried to get TMS commentary on 5 Live Extra via web but got that darned message about rights issues and unable to broadcast etc......ggggrrrr....

Both were triffic games, the Dutch should have beaten South Africa earlier, just lacked a bit of composure to close out the match, but England got themselves out of a huge hole.....brilliant batting by Hales and to chase down 190 is what was effectively 18.2 overs is some going.....also a mention for Morgan who recovered some form and put on 150 odd with Hales for the 3rd wicket....

Totally gobsmacked! Got out of the car hearing 0 for 2 wickets and suicidal commentators. Got back in the car much later to shock result and commentators apoplectic over Hales & Morgan! Much needed fillip for the team after a disastrous last few months.

A similar situation to mine. I started to watch our innings and very quickly decided that we were going to fail again so I went shopping for dinner. Got back just as the players were leaving the pitch victorious. Incredible. Another lesson learnt on never giving up when watching sport. You just never know.

NZ's reply actually made Englands total look almost respectable... .. .

I did consider lumping on NZ at the break to win some money back. Lucky for me it was a nice day so walked to pick the twins up from school, and forgot when I got home.
NZ were truly ****e in that chase...,but at least it was against top class opposition.

Still going for a WI win :)

Following the Sri Lanka v West Indies semi via beeb text......SL won toss and batting, started off as if they were going to blow the Windies out of the game...42 without loss after 4 overs, but they then lost 3 wickets for 8 runs during next 3 overs ......now 54/3 after 8 overs and Windies right back in the game....

I'd like to see Windies in the final. If their top order perform like Bravo and Sammy have done they could score anything.
