It's OT but thought i'd post a link to the article about my little boy and our puppy winning the competition at St. Margarets church, hope no one minds http://www.edp24.co.uk/news/photo_g...eddie_mercury_basil_brush_and_a_nun_1_2277237
Love German Shepherds Rich. Great for the lad,to be responsible for a dog. Never had any trouble with any of my kids being around a Shepherd. Nice to see Anneka too.
Yeah we had a rescue Shepherd last time before the kids along with a rescue Collie X. Love the Shepherds too really smart animals. Have to say how impressed we are with her, she's only 4 months old and already 99.9% house trained, sits on command, has the basics of stay and lay down too. Once she's settled down we're going to join an agility class with her for both our boys (Oli who is 4 in the pic and William who is 6). The fantastic thing about that day is Oli is often in the shadow of his big brother and it was beautiful to see him come out of his shell and really shine. Freya was impeccably well behaved on the day as well.
Agree 100%,Shepherds really are smart. My last one was from RSPCA,rescue dog. He was absolutely brilliant with kids, and adored all women, even though I took him out all the time,he was all over the wife.Never left her side indoors. Hope the boy and dog form a great bond.
Cheers buddy. Everyone is really happy with her (except the bank manager £650, but perfect lineage father was bought in from the States so there's 0% inbreeding in the line and he was a very impressive dog, absolutely huge but soft as hell lol). The wife is really enjoying the attention she's getting stopped in the street all the time for people to make a fuss of her, don't seem so popular these days for some reason. For me personally, i'd not have any other breed at all.
I have a wee beagle, Mr Bingley (the other half named him) he is definitely not that smart, but where food is concerned he always has a cunning plan! Now where have I heard that before? Bah! P.s. I also have a lovely plump breasted pigeon called speckled Jim
