The TfL website suggests getting the Heathrow Express overground to Ealing Broadway and just a short hop on the Central Line to White City from there. Much closer than Shepherds Bush.

Heathrow express (coach) also gets caught in the traffic though.
Tube is definately the quickest way....Unless theres underground works of course..!

PS. you dont want to be on the road in & around Heathrow at 9:30 Sat morn <ok>

Heathrow Express is a train Queens, not a coach or tube. The main service goes direct to Paddington from Heathrow in 15 minutes with no stops and costs £21.00, it's real benefit is for those going TO Heathrow as it is quick for those with a flight to catch.

Coming into London Heathrow Connect is the better bet for Cork-a-Hoop as it's the one that Watford mentioned stopping at Ealing Broadway, it's a bit slower but will still get you into Ealing quicker than the tube, it costs £7.70. Here's the information on it's stops etc...

OK ill just shut up then <laugh>

Didn't there used to be a Heathrow direct coach from London though?. I've caught one from Gatwick before and am sure there was one from Heathrow,
Reason I'm so sure is my old man used to run a coach firm around there and I'm sure I've seen it (in the past obviously)?

If you're getting a black cab could be £50-£70 and, depending on the traffic, take up to an hour. you are much better off getting the Heathrow Express or tube. Pubs will be open early never fear.

As SB says, save the money, take the tube. You afraid of dark tubes CAH? Bad experience in some Cork alleyway sometime?

CAH don't waste your money with a cab....the tube is the easiest way to get from Heathrow, an all day ticket is about £7......Picadillly Line to Hammersmith and change to the Hammersmith & City Line to Shepherds Bush Market, it is only 2 stops from Hammersmith...in fact it is so close you could actually walk from Hammersmith to Shepherds Bush in 15 minutes.....

    Have a cracking day....

I'll doubt if CAH even knows what the Hammy Palais used to be, he's far too young to know about such places.......He could if he so wished give the football a swerve and partake of a pint or two along the Thames tow path from Hammersmith Bridge to the Fullers Brewery at Chiswick, that was always a good trek/stagger.....

Used toi live just off Brook Green and frequented the Brook Green "Hotel" on Shepherds Bush Road was always a bit of a dive but they did do a decect pint of Youngs in there, went past it a while back and nothing changed.....

Both The Dove and Blue Anchor were 2 of my favourite pubs, both had good pints, that's what i miss being over here a nice pint full of flavour, Guiness is ok but the selection of other beers is not great, just fizzy pop.....
