I listened on Radio 2 on route to London - didn't think she was actually that funny. There was a guy on from South Wales after her - miles better. Was the voting panel her Mum and Dad?

Better than Michael ****ing multi-talentless knobhead McIntyre.

    And do-able!

Which Michael ****ing multi-talentless knobhead McIntyre is not.

    That is all.

That you tube clip is also not what she did live on R2. As the opening bits she did weren't very funny at all. She finished on the Wagon Wheel gag.

Do-able but nevertheless as funny as a dose of the ****s.

She was really good! She's the daughter of local playwright Gill Adams.

Agree. Her 'Hull' gags were in poor taste. What better way than enhancing a southerners stereotypical image of someone from Hull.

Bollocks, a bit of self deprecation is part of our Hull character, where's your senses of humour she's a game lass and hearing a Hull accent on these comedy clips is better then the usual talentless scouse & cockney numpties.

Aren;t these kind of jokes similar to what scouse comedians do, ie the "famous scouse wit"? Have we now become bin dippers?

Of course we don't drench the audience in phlegm while doing it.

I liked the clip of her being asked what she would like to get out of winning the competition? She replied "i wanna be able to shop at Waitrose".

Agree with whittlingstick, that's what comedy is all about, laughing at yourself (and others). Did you see anyone else say where they were from ? The girls had a great result. But let's just knock her back down eh.

The joke's are all essentially, "Hull's a dump!" It's humorous the first time, but after a while it gets tedious.

It's the same thing as Gina Yashere and Stephen K Amos making a living out of, "I'm black!" gags, or Shappi Khorsandi's, "I'm Asian!" ****e.

Stephen K Amos isn't remotely funny with his crap repetitive black gags.

I reckon Lenny Henry taught him all he knows.

It would be ok if she was actually funny - she isn't.

One of her 'live' gags was "People say that people on the dole don't want to work hard" and then "......I know loads of people in Hull on the dole that work hard in their jobs"......****.

We go to a lot of the preview shows at the Edinburgh festival. Now nobody really has a polished act by that stage, that's the whole point of the previews. Amos' show a few years back though was the single worst show I've ever seen, and I've been to some of the "Free Fringe" shows. And it wasn't just us, from the entire audience there were probably only 3 laughs in the whole hour long show. I was up for walking out half way through, but it was pissing it down outside and I'd not finished my drink yet. The ones that did walk out though he was getting really stroppy with about it, which was another reason I wanted to, unlike them I wouldn't have made up an excuse. It was not long before his TV show started, and I was speaking to someone on the production staff and he said he wasn't surprised, he couldn't believe how little effort he'd put into writing the show and said he was amazed that after waiting so long to be given a show that was his attitude towards it.
