It is ridiculous, though at least this time the Serbian's have been clobbered a bit more than usual.

Four Serbian players banned, their next competitive under-21 match to be behind closed doors, fined £65,000 and two coaches banned from football completely for two years.

    No real surprise.

I'm sure the Serbian press (like ours) is whipping up the indignant victims of UEFA injustice sentiment.

This I feel was just a token gesture by UEFA not to upset the Serbs too much, they felt they needed to show they were being just on both side. Just a cop out, and we shouldn't expect anything less from these ****ers

Agreed - I'll accept there's a part of me that has a bit of a martyrdom complex when it comes to English football's relationship with UEFA and FIFA, but then I think most of my gripes are on a fairly firm footing. Can't help but think there's something other than a level playing field when it comes to the rulebook - ie) the governing authorities don't want to come down too hard on the more backward footballing nations for fear of being seen as 'too Western/liberal/civilised', or because only a decade or two ago they were slaughtering their neighbours they should get a pass on **** that, if it happened in England, UEFA and FIFA would never shut up about. bah.

That was about the same time we were dropping bombs on Belgrade.

People in this country have selective memories at times.

Would you look kindly on people who dropped bombs on you?

You're all going on about the small fine but every time a country's FA is fined the cry is "what's the point in a fine?" They can't win.

If you take out the punishment of the England players I honestly think the punishment given to Serbia is about right.

I think people only complain at the size of the fine not the actual fine itself.

If they start dishing out fines that meant something it might start going some good and no one would complain( apart from the offending country).Hit them with a million smackers and see what they do then.

£50,000 or whatever they usually fine a country or even club is hardly worth it.

Platini looks like Napoleon and I don't like his hair nor do I care for his attitude.

Non non non, I like France and the French.

Platini just comes across as a massive bell end.
