OT - Board Notice: Appointment of Third Mod

Further to the appointment of Nines as mod on here, I’m really glad to announce similar status for NUTS’ other recommendation: QPR-Matt.

As Stamford for one probably realises by now, only too aware of the board’s concerns about avoiding over-modding, I’ve been particularly resistant to the notion of a third mod.

However, the way things have been going of late, comments expressed by a few, and the need to cover absences and transitional periods in times like these - have forced me ‘tae think again’.

Whilst it’ll obviously take three mods longer to arrive at agreed decisions than it did with two (accessibility being the main reason), Matty’s naturally calm and rational demeanour will help no end in keeping people informed of the whys and wherefores of some of our actions and deliberate inactions.

What has really impressed me about ‘spot-on’ Matty is the way he tunes into what’s going on behind the scenes without a word from us. This, at times when others struggle to understand what’s been said time and time again in black and white.

Not only that but what goes before him is his care for the harmony of the board as a whole and willingness to share his understanding for no other reason than simply to help out. Very, very much appreciated.

As many of us will have realised, Matt’s a student living in Ipswich. Time, money and distance means he doesn’t get the opportunity to get to LR very often. This, he felt, might somehow disqualify him from assisting in modding our board. Given his impact on here to date, I know I speak for most if not all in assuring him that nothing could be further from the truth. There must be millions of genuine football fans out there can’t get to games for love nor money. Not an issue.

So, I’m off now to get Matty ‘badged-up’ and to work with NUTS to prepare for his and Ninesy’s training.

All I ask of the rest of you is that you welcome both of our new mods - and then give them a bit of time to adjust.

I'm very grateful to Nuts for all he's done for us and appreciate the chance that him and Brix have given me to repay some of my enjoyment of our fantastic board.

I'm not too sure what this all entails as yet but will try to do what's needed in harmony with the other mods and with my own character (opinionated and sometimes silly) so hopefully you will hardly know I'm here (at all some may hope ).
