There is a Swansea clan on GTA Online! http://socialclub.rockstargames.com/crew/swansea_brotherhood I joined these guys and I swear I saw Hollywood stuff and nearly wet myself. They lined a road with bombs so any other person driving through got bounced side to side up the street, looked impressive . Four of them also trapped the entire frigging session of other players in a small area as they had tanks with 360 views, hearing the other folks moan about being trapped was comedy stuff.
I thought GTA IV was better, but most people seem to disagree with me. Haven't played online on V though because it kept pissing around in the first week of being up so I gave up. Add that to me having too much choice of games meant I didn't stick around and keep trying. I do think some sort of gaming thread is needed over our 2 boards (Liverpool have one). It'd be good to chat about something I actually know about for once! My Xbox One will be here tomorrow with FIFA (already have it on 360 though), Dead Rising 3 and Battlefield 4. I feel like a kid on Christmas eve!
the new gta is the best one so far, no doubts about that>>>>online is totally bonkers......trevor is another totally bonkers part of the game>>>>>>tiz top end fun and all for the fair price of forty snucks. good move going onto xboxone deadpassive>>>>>>>>seems again that the big hitters (games) are not gonna be available on the 360>>>>xbox users stabbed in the back again <Laugh>..........ps I used my original xbox for retro gaming and the best media programme out there in xbmc>>>>check it out>......im sure the 360 will soon become a better machine(thank god for hackers) than what Microsoft gave you in the first place
Agree with Aber, loving this new GTA and online is amazing. A race editor and mission creator is to be released as free DLC sometime soon. People have asked Rockstar to add a voice changer that will give us that military walkie talkie effect, instead of the usual clear voice. PS. If any of you are online and you suddenly hear random people humming the Flight of the Valkyrie tune, get under cover, it's a Meme sort of thing and means three or more from one clan have two or more attack helicopters and there is just one thing on their mind... The death of everybody else. Just leg it under a bridge or something
Old gamer alert! I loved GTA 4 and am playing it again now on the PC. I've always used XBox but the modding of PC games has really won me over. There are some really good mods for GTA4 including the IcenHancer which makes it look a whole lot better, and multiple and recurring assassin missions. Just pick up a phone and Nico's got another job. Also - the cars!!!. Currently driving around in that DB5 from Goldfinger - and the guns work. It's hysterical when you're chasing down a target or when the cops try to block your way. Looking forward to Crimbo as Santa will be bringing me GTA 5 for the XBox. But I'll definitely be getting it for the PC when it's released. One confession though - I'm not hardcore and still use an XBox controller on the PC - you can't beat it imo. But my all time favourite is Skyrim. Because Bethesda (unlike Rockstar) welcome the modding of their games the modding community has gone crazy. There are even full sized DLCs and new lands to explore. If you're in the least bit interested check out Nexus Mods where you'll see what you can do with PC games. It's unreal. The link is for Skyrim but there are others too. Click on 'Files' Then 'Categories' and have a browse. It's amazing the work some people have put into it. The GTA 4 mods are less extensive but good fun and you can see them here and here. Might make another return to the Fallout universe soon - another heavily modded franchise and a firm favourite with me. So yes, Project. I'm a nerd - with too much time on his hands, probably.
Yeah I've already done that (don't have the original xbox any more though). I've already flashed my 360 too so I'll still be getting all the games I can't afford on the Xbox One. The guy who hacked the 360 (c4eva) has already made inroads into copying the Xbox one discs. Think it'll be a few years (if at all) before he manages to get the One playing them. EDIT: KJ you're slowly growing on me. Skyrim and Fallout (2 in particular) are my favourite 2 games ever.
I heard there are a problems with a small amount of PS4's. A few that have had issues with it not showing up on the tv. The TV issue is supposedly a bent pin in the HDMI port, which can be fixed manually by bending it back. The other issue with the "blue light" is an issue that has effected they reckon about 4,000 (?) units. Which considering the amount actually made, is a very small percentage, so not all that bad. Not heard of any others yet.
Yeah, saw another problem about the hard drive, which Sony themselves give a 'guide to fix' by removing the lid...getting a screwdriver... (I am not kidding) http://community.us.playstation.com...-Blinking-Blue-Light-PS4-Issues/td-p/42154071
The PS4 hard drive fix is straight forward, you don't need to be highly tech savvy to check it. Hence why the top cover slides off (am assuming no screws hold it in place) so would not be a part that voids the warranty if removed. (I would assume) Different if they told you to unscrew all the screws underneath and pull it apart
Last console I had was an original Wii, PS1 before that. I'd hardly call you nerds just for having a console anyway! If you were a real nerd you'd use Linux StreamOS, will hopefully take off (when released obviously) and then you can have a console-like experience with a SteamBox whilst also having the option of a desktop. It's basically Steam running in big picture mode. Plus the hardware's easily upgradeable, so you'll always have a more powerful system than anything the latest console can offer. Or like me, just use Steam on your current Linux box and you already have a "SteamBox". Their new controller looks interesting too. Just to add to the conversation, I'm currently enjoying "Metro:Last Light" and "Sir, You Are Being Hunted".
Also, with SteamOS being an open system there are no end of possibilites. I think they're planning to integrate the whole media centre experience. So they may use XBMC, as Aber posted above, or go some other route. Or just add it yourself. We'll no doubt see Netflix etc also.
