    Take your pick with the Cricket team, Strauss, Pietersen, Kieswetter, Prior, Trott and Dernbach were all born in South Africa. Eoin Morgan is Irish. 5 of those started the last test against Pakistan, so nearly half the team.

    Martin Samuel has been banging on for ages in the Daily Mail about the underhand tactics Team GB are using to shoehorn non Brits into the Olympic team just to show all the lottery money thrown at them has been worth it.

    "UK Athletics have withdrawn the Daily Mail's access to Team GB in reponse to an article in today's newspaper that accused head coach Charles van Commenee of "playing fast and loose with our national identity by appointing as captain a "Plastic Brit".

    United States-born Tiffany Porter leads the team at the World Indoors in Istanbul."

    The Olympics is the oldest international sporting contest. To me that means it should be the purest.

    She's not just American-born, she's flat-out American.

    However, as much as I disagree with the policy Charles Van Commenee has pushed through, I don't hold it against the individual athletes. Tiffany Porter seems like a good girl for a Yank.
