Today is one of the great annual sporting days in Ireland, the All-Ireland Hurling Final. If you have never seen a game of hurling now is your chance. Considered by many as the fastest field game in the world, you will be served up 70 minutes of nonstop action. This years final is being contested by two Munster teams, Cork and Clare.
I'm not the most technical person but I'll check for streams and post them here when I find them.
So if you have a spare hour this afternoon at 3.30 I'll guarantee that you won't be disappointed.

    Ahhhhhh Corker

Just posted another thread on this. Apologies to our members. Can the Mods please merge.
Should be a cracker. Two very evenly matched teams. Some pundits talking about Cork having a slight advantage due to county history and pedigree. What rubbish. For most of those cork lads, this is pretty new as well. Too tight to call. All on the day.

I hadn't watched any hurling until I moved to Ireland 5 years ago, couldn't believe it, opposing supporters stand together? It's great to watch, makes football look like a very slow snooker match. Also there'd be nothing to talk about at work, in the shop, with the postman etc. I'm tipping clare which means cork will win of course

My wife answers QPR when people ask her football team, the least I can do is support her county. My father and brother in laws were hoping to get tickets, don't think they did in the end. Hurling is a great game to watch for the uninitiated.

****ing hell, you have the memory of a selective elephant. My comments on this sport were based on an extremely violent clip someone posted. I'll have a look at this match if it doesn't clash with the Grand Prix. Hurling, like Gaelic football, Aussie Rules and field hockey (which my daughter plays to county standard, I watch every week just about, but just don't understand) are mysteries to me. And I like a mystery.

You're right about Swords Stan. He's very selective

Watch the match. You won't be disappointed.

Me too. Here's one for ya:

Over the road in Malahide the other day, England were playing Ireland in the cricket. England's captain was Irish and one of Ireland's batsmen played for England for four years!

And there was me thinking Tony Cascarino's story was odd.

The real final is In 2 weeks, Dublin V Mayo in the football.

If anybody hears of any tickets, a "real supporter" like myself would appreciate a couple of tickets.

I will be cheering on Clare, sorry CorkeR. I just feel a Clare win will be better for hurling overall in the whole country. It should be a good match and may the best team win.

All 32 counties both North and South play it. The Irish diaspora play it all around the world. London and New York enter teams in the All Ireland series.
Apologies for not sticking up a stream, was busy at work but sure you can get a stream by using google

Yes, you were very lucky to get a draw CorkeR. I reckon that's a sign your name is written all over the cup. The underdog normally only gets one chance. Davey Fitz was an angry man at the end. Great match.
